SW STORM, REAL NAME SINA-WAYNE, THE MUSICAL MIND AND VOICE WAS BORN IN LONDON,ENGLAND OF TRINIDADIAN PARENTAGE. STORM IS CONSIDERED TO BE ONE OF THE MOST VERSATILE ARTISTES IN CARIBBEAN MUSIC.


Since making his debut in 1996 he has made his mark worldwide, thrilling and captivating audiences wherever he goes. Performing on many stages in the UK, Europe, North America and the Caribbean to places as far as Sri Lanka, Doha and Dubai, SW Storm is considered one of Trinidad & Tobago’s premiere cultural ambassadors. His first musical foray came in the area of Soca music where he has worked with some of the top producers in the business delivering a number of hits over the years. He brought his unique style and brand to the genre and out of this came a new sub genre... “Pop Soca”.

After 15 years of producing Soca and crossover hits, SW Storm added the Chutney Soca genre to his repertoire with his 2010 hit release “De Hammer” produced by Big Rich at D Pungalunks factory. This track immediately signaled his intent on changing the game in yet another genre of music. “De Hammer” gave SW Storm a whole new diasporas to explore performing in every major Chutney Soca arena and festival worldwide. Storm was also nominated at the 2010 Soca music awards in Trinidad for Best Chutney Soca Video (De Hammer), Best Groovy Soca & Best Soca Video with his hit song “Carnival” and won the award for Best Soca Video.

In 2011, Storm delivered another 2 massive Chutney Soca hits, “By De Bar" & "Mrs. Walker" which further broadened his fan base. In 2011 Storm also formed his own band “SW Storm & The Raw” who received the highest praise at all their performances. The band performed at numerous Caribbean events in Toronto & also headlined the biggest South Asian festival - Masala Mehdi Masti at the Harbourfront in Toronto. The band has also enjoyed repeated performances in New York thrilling audiences and winning mass approval from the fans.
 
Highlight’s of 2012 included opening for the big pop band “the Wanted” in England and performing in Dubai as a headliner representing Trinidad & Tobago at the MMM World Music festival.

As Trinidad Carnival 2014 approaches Storm has released his groovy soca track entitled “Party On D Road” produced by Sheriff at Black Ice Studios that is already receiving rave reviews worldwide. Watch out for the Music Video coming soon. We can expect more music releases for the 2014 season including the highly anticipated Chutney Soca track “CONFESSION” out of the Pungalunks Factory scheduled for early December. For Trinidad Carnival 2014, Storm intends to enter both the Groovy Soca Monarch & the Chutney Soca Monarch competitions. Storm has also been selected to perform in the World Chutney Soca Monarch Finals scheduled for carnival Saturday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad.

Storm has written and released 7 albums & 25 singles to date including classic hits such as “Nice”, “Sweet”, “Show Dem”, “Carnival”, “De Hammer”, “By De Bar”. Storm also undertakes projects / youth programs delivering workshops teaching song writing and performance skills. Storm is also writing for TV and has recorded theme songs for BBC TV in the United Kingdom.
